Improvisational Theatre Groups

The following is an ever-growing list of improvisational theatre groups. If your group is not listed, see the information at the end of this page to find out how to get added.

In addition to all the individual improv groups listed below, there are two organizations out there that connect improv groups in different cities: Theatresports and ComedySportz. The first two listings below are links to "top level" pages with more information about those organizations and additional links to the affiliated groups.

Many of the individual Theatresports and ComedySportz groups are also listed below.

To add your group to this list, send mail to me at broehl@improvcomedy.org. If your group has its own home page, just email me the URL. Otherwise, be sure to include at least the following information:

Please send the information as plain ASCII text. No MacWrite, Windows Write, WordPerfect, LaTeX, or other esoteric formats. Thanks!

If your group teaches workshops, include the following additional information:

A note about the various "Theatresports" groups: the name "Theatresports" is a registered trademark of the Loose Moose Theatre Company in Calgary, Alberta; they seem very intense about enforcing their trademark, so be careful not to use "Theatresports" in the name of your group unless you've signed their elaborate multi-page contract first.

There's also a list called Improv Across America that's worth taking a look at.
